Remy Cointreau chief executive steps down for personal reasons
The chief executive of French spirits company Remy Cointreau will step down at the end of the year for personal reasons.
Valerie Chapoulaud-Floquet, 56, will continue to exercise her mandate until a successor is appointed.

She joined the group in September 2014 and led the company’s development into a luxury specialist with a strategy focused on selling spirits for $50 or more per bottle.
Last month, the company paid out a special dividend to investors after reporting a better-than-expected profit rise.
Chapoulaud-Floquet said: “It is with great emotion that I will leave the Remy Cointreau group at the end of the year, once the torch passed to my successor.
“I am serene, as the group’s results, foundations, teams and strategic vision allow it to envisage the future with optimism, ambition and success.”

Previously, Chapoulaud-Floquet spent 24 years at L’Oreal and held director positions in Asia, Europe and the US.
She then joined Louis Vuitton in 2008, becoming president and chief executives of the Americas before leaving the luxury fashion retailer for Remy.
