Recession took more pay from high earners
THE LOW-PAID have seen smaller wage falls than those on higher pay since 2008, a think tank has said.
The bottom 10 per cent of earners saw real hourly pay – which is pay accounting for inflation – drop 3.3 per cent between 2008 and 2014, the Institute for Fiscal Studies said today. The top 10 per cent saw real hourly pay dip by 6.4 per cent.
