Qatar outbids Chinese for £1.1bn HSBC tower
The Qatar Investment Authority is understood to have made a £1.1bn offer for the HSBC tower, seeing off the likes of China Life and Ping An to become the preferred bidder in one of the biggest-ever UK property deals.
The tower was put up for sale by South Korea’s National Pension Service in April, with bidding managed by GM Real Estate and Jones Lang LaSalle.
