Q and A: What happens now strike is suspended
Q What did members of the RMT and London Underground agree on yesterday?
A A station by station review will now continue, with all the trades unions invited to take part before any further Tube proposals are made. The review is due to be completed on 23 May.
Q What will happen to the jobs at risk from the ticket office closures?
A LU has agreed to enter into further talks to ensure that staff who decide not to take voluntary redundancy are offered jobs within the business at the same salary.
Q When will discussions between the RMT and LU continue?
A Acas, the conciliation service managing talks, will chair a meeting at the end of the month to discuss the outcome of the review into ticket office closures.
Q Is there still risk of a strike in the future?
A The strike has been “suspended” rather than cancelled. The two sides still need to resolve issues over job cuts and services at the Tube.
