PwC’s senior staff swap bean counting for beanstalks in this year’s pantomime
The festive season may be behind us, but folks at PwC seem to only just be getting into it after launching the firm’s pantomime tour last week.
Over 100 staffers swapped bean counting for treading the boards, kicking off a UK tour of Jack and the Beanstalk to celebrate 30 years of the firm’s annual charity panto.
Every player has done time at the firm, with Jack, Jill and Dame “Dotty Strop” all hailing from the tax, legal and deals teams respectively.
The Saturday matinee pulled in big names from the firm. Board members Ashley Urwin and Stephanie Hyde watched from the sidelines after opening the show with a “Fairy of the year” competition – won by PwC alumnus Alecia Putt.
Even PwC chair Ian Powell squeezed in a brief cameo on Monday’s showing before jetting off to Davos. Maybe panto is a better use for the media training some City grandees receive?
This week the staff are off to Birmingham, where regional chief Matt Hammond will be the special guest.
