Putting his money where his mouth is: Nigel Farage just put £1,000 on Brexit
Nigel Farage is feeling lucky.
The Ukip leader decided to put his money where his mouth is, calling into a Square Mile betting shop to put some money on Britain voting to leave the EU.
Farage has placed a decidedly confident £1,000 bet on a Brexit vote outcome from the EU referendum on 23 June.
Farage said: "The odds are moving in our favour and I'm very confident I'll be back after the referendum to collect my winnings."

Farage hasn't had a lot of luck this year, but placed the bet on his debit card after learning the odds on Brexit have fallen this week. Thousands of punters have forced the price of a leave outcome from 9/2 to 5/2 in a matter of days.
If he wins, the former City trader will pick up £3,500 in total including his stake.

The Capitalist wonders if there's a sweepstakes at the Farage household? Earlier this year, he let slip that Europe is a sore subject at the family dinner table, with one of his sons planning to vote Remain.
