From what I've seen Top Cat is likely to be a high risk borrower. I'm sceptical about any proof-of-income he could have shown the Halifax.

Halifax has defended the advert.
A spokesman said: "No other bank could run this campaign.
"It reflects our personality and is a real celebration of how our friendly and down to earth colleagues support everyone – showing Halifax as the uniquely human face of banking."

New Mortgage adverts from taxpayer- subsidised Halifax Bank feature Top Cat , the cartoon cat who lives in a BIN. Irony or incompetence?

My prob w/the Halifax Top Cat ads isn't them serving fictional cats. It's they're lending to someone w/no source of income. Irresponsible.
