Princess Beatrice to launch new career as business consultant with backing from Sandbridge Capital
Princess Beatrice is reportedly set to launch a startup and begin her new career as a business consultant.
Beatrice, 27, is said to have the backing of Sandbridge Capital – where she recently worked as an associate. Investment group Sandbridge focuses on lifestyle and fashion companies, including online retailer Farfetch and iconic British brand Topshop.
"(Beatrice) is creating a start-up consultancy backed by, and in association with, the group she worked with," a source told the Daily Mail.
"She and some other people have set up a consultancy business under the auspices of Sandbridge Capital."
Beatrice, the daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, has been criticised in the press for jumping from job to job – according to her LinkedIn page, the role at Sandbridge was her fourth in five years since graduating from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2011.
However, a friend was quoted by the Mail as saying: "Beatrice is a young girl making her own way in the world and finding her feet. She should be applauded for striking out on her own, not vilified."
Before joining Sandbridge, the princess worked as a research associate for Children in Crisis UK, as a private equity analyst in London, and as an international production analyst at Sony Pictures.
