Polish Prince John Zylinski reckons becoming mayor is every property developer’s dream come true
Polish prince John Zylinski is unlikely to win the mayoral election tomorrow, but his career in politics is only just starting.
Zylinski, a property boss from Lewisham with blood as blue as Tory hopeful Zac Goldsmith's, is running as an independent candidate in the race for City Hall. He's an outsider with odds of 100/1, but the developer currently known as Prince tells The Capitalist that he's already making plans to run for office in 2020, and is forming a new political party to give a voice to London's eastern European population.
"Some of what he says is a bit ridiculous" an insider from his campaign tells us, "but his commitment to Polish people in London is very real".

Showing his dedication to the cause, Zylinski invoked the spirit of St George slaying the dragon on the Cavalry Monument in Hyde Park on Wednesday. He mounted his trusted steed, sword in hand, and called Prince Zylinski called on his followers and all voters to "Slay Labour!" tomorrow at the polls.
Earlier this week, the property prince named Tory hopeful Zac Goldsmith as the candidate voters should put as their second preference behind his good self, but wasn't so kind about Labour hopeful Sadiq Khan.
His message was aimed at Khan's proposed rent controls which he claims will make "one million more people homeless in London".
Zylinski's main campaign focus has been housing, but he let slip an ulterior motive for throwing himself into the race for City Hall last night.
"It's every property developer's dream to become mayor of London", he said. "You can grant your own planning permission."
