Off-piste style for the slopes
SKI season’s here and while it’s the quality of the snow that counts (of course), it’s also important to look the part. You don’t want to be caught out in frumpy, worn out gear from years ago. Remember, keeping warm is best done with high quality items, including – naturally – a smart hip flask.
The other thing about skiing is that most of you will be hitting the Alps, and looking the part among Italian, French and Austrian skiers swishing their way down the slopes is key to feeling complete.
You don’t have to look like you’re trying too hard, either. The look this year is cosy but luxe, whether it’s a Scandinavian, fur-trimmed puffer jacket, fur-lined gloves or skis that have character.
Don’t forget what you wear under your coat and hat – have a thought for those mid-afternoon chalet stop-offs for wine and a spot of cake. This is where some playful accessories, like the snowflake earrings pictured, work well.
