Paris terror attack suspect Mohamed Abrini has been arrested, Belgian media say
Paris terror attack suspect Mohamed Abrinin has been arrested, according to Belgian media.
Police have been searching for the suspect since the Paris attacks, last November.
VRT News also said that another terror suspect could have been apprehended – the man who was seen talking to Khalid El Bakraoui shortly before he carried out the bomb attack in the Maalbeek metro station in Brussels.
Abrini is one of the key suspects in the Paris terror investigation, having been seen with Salah Abdeslam just days before the attacks.
European and international arrest warrants were issued for Abriri, who has been designated armed and dangerous.
In November, the Islamic State took responsibility for attacks in Paris that left over 130 people dead, and many more injured.
Just last month Isis hit the Belgian capital of Brussels, killing more than 30 people in attacks on the airport and a metro station.
