Paddington Station reopened after fire alert prompted evacuation
Paddington Station has been reopened, after being evacuated because of a fire alert this morning.
Both police and London Fire Brigade sent crews to Paddington Station to investigate reports of a fire on the Tube alongside Transport for London.
The Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines did not stop at the station while the alert was being checked out.
Eyewitnesses said they were told to leave the station because of a "reported emergency".
However by 10:50am, the alert was over and the station reopened.
