Omnis benefits from Woodford’s expertise and attracts large inflows in 2016
While some retail funds struggle to stem the tide of outflows, Omnis has bucked the trend thanks to investment icon Neil Woodford.
Omnis’ UK equity fund, which is managed by the former Invesco Perpetual grandee, attracted more than £100m in its first six months having launched in March 2016.
“The partnership with Woodford Investment Management is extremely valuable to Omnis and it is fantastic to see our advisers embrace the fund as enthusiastically as they have since its launch in February,” said Philip Martin of Openwork, the adviser platform for Omnis .

The fund can invest in both listed and unquoted companies across the UK and does not have a sector specific focus.
Omnis had £160m of inflows across its fund range during the second quarter of 2016, making it one of the UK's largest selling retail fund managers during the period that straddled the Brexit vote.
Woodford, who is on record as saying that the Brexit vote is “not as negative” as people might think, lines up as one of eight fund managers contracted to run the investments on behalf of Omnis.
“We look forward to growing our relationship with Neil and his team as we continue to build on the encouraging strides we have made so far,” said Martin.
