Now Amazon is bringing one-hour Prime delivery to Scotland
Amazon's mission to deliver its goods to impatient customers faster than anyone else took another step forward as it extended its Prime one and two-hour deliveries to Scotland for the first time.
Residents of Glasgow rejoice, particularly those in the areas of Parkhead, Shawlands and Paisley, where anyone ordering can get thousands of items to their door within 60 minutes.
Other areas nearby – Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Cumbernauld – will get items within a two-hour time frame. Items available include some fresh produce.

"Prime Now is our fastest delivery option ever and we are delighted to bring it to Scotland. From today, Prime customers in Glasgow can get the items they need quickly delivered right to the door in under an hour," said Amazon’s director of Prime Now in the UK Jason Weston.
"Whether its essentials like fresh milk, nappies or even a last minute gift, customers love the convenience of delivery straight to their door in less than sixty minutes."

Prime Now was rolled out first in London in June last year and has slowly extended further across the country, including Surrey, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Portsmouth and South Yorkshire.
Amazon said the service now covers 30 per cent of the UK.
The extension comes a day after the retailer announced that it is testing out drones for making deliveries in the UK.
