National Express rides towards higher profits
NATIONAL Express reported a rise in profits yesterday, riding high on the strong performance of it’s UK bus and coach operations.
Its pre-tax profits rose by three per cent in 2014, to £66.5m.
Profits in National Express’ UK bus, rail and coach operations all rose in 2014.
The company is now looking to expand its growing North American unit, which contributed three per cent to profits this year, to drive further growth in 2015.
The company has also won its third and fourth German rail contracts.
Dean Finch, National Express chief executive, said: “National Express has made significant progress over the past year. Every division is carrying more passengers and has grown revenue.”
