Murray delighted with ‘big win’ over specialist Robredo
WORLD No3 Andy Murray told of his delight after cruising past Tommy Robredo to reach the quarter-final of the Madrid Masters yesterday.
Murray survived a tough start in the sweltering heat to come through 7-5, 6-1 and book a last eight clash with fifth seed Juan Martin Del Potro.
“I’m very happy with the result, he’s one of the top clay-court players,” the Scot said.
“He’s made the second week on the French Open clay quite a few times, so it’s a big win for me.”
