Moyes booed and beaten in Everton reunion
MANCHESTER United boss David Moyes suffered a chastening defeat to former club Everton and Liverpool striker Luis Suarez hit Norwich for four on an eventful night in the Premier League.
Full-back Bryan Oviedo’s 86th-minute goal condemned United and Moyes to a home defeat in his first meeting with the team he left in the summer to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson.
Suarez conjured his third hat-trick against Norwich in a four-goal virtuoso performance as Liverpool thrashed Chris Hughton’s strugglers 5-1. Raheem Sterling adding the last for the home side.
Midfielder Yaya Toure scored two as Manchester City improved their woeful away record with a 3-2 win at West Brom, but only after a late scare that saw them ship two in the final five minutes.
Aston Villa nicked a see-saw clash at Southampton 3-2, while Swansea abruptly ended Newcastle’s good form with a 3-0 win at the Liberty Stadium.
