More broadband problems for BT customers
BT said it is close to resolving more internet connection issues reported by customers today – and said a power cut at another of its partner's sites had led to service problems.
The telecoms provider said: “We’re sorry that some BT and Plusnet customers are having problems connecting to some internet services this morning.
"This is due to Telehouse North, one of our internet connection partners in the docklands, suffering a substantial power failure. This is affecting BT and other providers.
"We are redirecting traffic to reduce the impact on customers and the issue is now affecting less than five percent of customers’ internet usage. Engineers are on site and we hope will be able to fix the problem shortly.“
Meanwhile, customers, including several well-known figures, used the social media platform to complain about the service.
Hey, BT broadband, sort it!

BT said yesterday afternoon that it had fixed the broadband problems that had affected around 10 per cent of its customers earlier that day. It also explained the difficulties were due to a power issue at one of its internet connection partner's sites in London.
