Mobile firm WIN bullish after it returns to profit
MOBILE technology firm WIN yesterday announced a 10 per cent increase in year-on-year revenue.
Chief executive Graham Rivers told City A.M. the firm will focus on developing its existing product range in the first half of 2010 with a view to launching new products at the end of the year.
WIN provides mobile solutions for firms including the BBC, managing interactive services and mobile billing.
It also designs applications for mobile phone providers and recently sold a batch to Vodafone for its 360 range, including the mobile medical advice application Pocket Doctor.
It says it is confident it will be involved in handling billing for an upcoming cross-network application platform that operators hope will rival Apple’s App Store.
Its profits before tax crept back into the black for 2009 compared to a loss of £760,000 in 2008.
