Miranda star a crowd pleaser
SALLY Phillips, who plays the ditzy upper-class Tilly in the BBC television series Miranda, is throwing her celebrity behind a fundraiser for independent charity Me too & Co, to raise at least £10,000 in 45 days with crowd funding group CrowdShed. Sally is Patron of Me too.
The charity provides free support and activities in London for children with additional needs and disabilities and their families and was founded in 2007 to fill a gap where no all round support existed. It provides practical and emotional support, and gives children access to therapies and creative activities and needs a cash boost to ensure services and the venue continue. It supports more than 500 Richmond and Twickenham families but is open to all.
Sally said:”I became patron of Me too & Co after coming here as a family with my son Olly, who has Down Syndrome. I know firsthand what a lifeline it can provide.”
