Milos Raonic prize money: Wimbledon victory over Roger Federer secures biggest ever payday
Milos Raonic has earned the biggest payday of his career after a five set victory over Roger Federer secured his place in this year's final against Andy Murray.
The Canadian guaranteed himself at least £1m in prize money after reaching his first ever grand slam final by inflicting a first Wimbledon semi-final defeat on Federer in 11 attempts.
Federer, the highest-earning player in Wimbledon history with over £10m earned on its grass courts, leaves SW19 with £500,000 following the 6-3 6-7 4-6 7-5 6-3 loss.

In contrast, big-serving Roanic had made the equivalent of £8.3m in his entire career ahead of this year's championship.
Before today, his biggest payday came in January at the Australian Open where he took home AUS $750,000 after losing to Andy Murray in the semi-finals.
