BANK OF AMERICA MERRILL LYNCH
BANK of America Merrill Lynch (BofAML) is joint global coordinator and joint bookrunner on the IPO of Russian Helicopters, alongside BNP Paribas and VTB Capital.
Leading the team is Riccardo Orcel, BofAML head of CEEMEA corporate & investment banking. Riccardo is the brother of Andrea Orcel, BoAML’s head of emerging markets excluding Asia and executive chairman of global banking and markets.
Also advising for BofAML was Andrei Arofikin, managing director of Russia investment banking. Arofikin returned to the bank in 2010 after leaving in 2008 to join the state savings bank Sberbank. He had previously worked for BoAML in Moscow for two years. Before this he worked at Credit Suisse’s Russian arm for six years.
Aukse Jurkute, head of Russia and CIS equity capital markets and Alex Reznik, vice president of Russia investment banking were also on the team.
BofAML was number one in M&A and equity capital markets in Russia for the first quarter of 2011.
It has led both major privatisations in Russia this year.
