Geoff Bouchier has been appointed administrator for Ethel Austin. He is a partner with MCR.
He has led many of MCR’s major insolvency assignments, including a number of its high profile appointments within the financial services, travel and retail sectors.
In recent months he has worked as joint administrator for high street retailer Borders and furniture giant MFI.
He worked as lead administrator of Weavering Capital, the London based hedge fund manager, which acted as investment adviser to various international funds with assets under management of £388m.
Travel assignments include working on the administration of DAS Air and EOS Airlines. As part of his work on transatlantic premium class airline EOS, Bouchier was one of the first British insolvency practitioners to be appointed UK administrator to a US firm.
Bouchier joined MCR in 2002 after qualifying as a chartered accountant and a licensed insolvency practitioner.
Also working on the administration for MCR is Phil Duffy. He oversaw the sale of retailer Owen Owen which resulted in the repayment of its bank debt.
Duffy has been administrator to a number of travel businesses, including Club Travel and Travelscope. He has also provided restructuring advice to a number of high profile Premiership and Championship football clubs.
He has provided operational risk advice to Mauritius Commercial Bank, restructuring advice to the Federal Mogul Group and administration services to KPNQwest.
