M&C Saatchi sees profits leap as it grows abroad
M&C Saatchi yesterday reported a 25 per cent increase in full-year profits as it opened its first agency in Russia.
The advertising giant said it will open a Moscow office, taking the number of countries it operates in to 19.
The Russian move is a joint venture with EMCG, one of Russia’s leading independent agencies.
M&C Saatchi – the Tory party ad agency, which was founded by brothers Maurice and Charles Saatchi in 1995 – saw its full-year revenues rise 21 per cent to £125m, with its UK revenues climbing nine per cent.
It said its contract wins in the UK were the strongest since 2004.
The agency says 2011 has started well, continuing the forward momentum from last year, but it remains cautious over the macro economic environment.
