Magna Carta 2015: Where you can enjoy beer deals in London with #CheersBDB

On 15 June 1215, King John finally agreed to sign the Magna Carta – a deal that meant monarchs were finally subject to the law, just like everyone else.

But not only that. It also gave birth to the humble pint, thanks to the inclusion of an article that demanded "a single measure for ale".

To celebrate 800 years since the sealing of this document and the beginning of democracy (and pints) as we know it, pubs across London are putting on special offers and toasting under the hashtag #CheersBDB.

Based on Seething Lane, a stone's throw from Tower Hill, Draft House is selling its cask ales at £2.75 a pint all day.

Tesco launches three new ales

If you'd rather mark the occasion from the comfort of your sofa, Tesco has launched three new ales across its UK stores, identifiable by their Beer Day Britain logos. Each has been created to show off the "diversity of taste to be found in British beer".

They additions are India Pale Ale, Ruby Ale and Golden Ale. Each costs £1.29 for a 500ml bottle.
