Magath angered at lack of fight
FULHAM boss Felix Magath slammed his players for lacking the desire to avoid relegation after yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace brought the curtain down on 13 years in the Premier League. Second-half goals from youngsters Cauley Woodrow and Chris David cancelled out Dwight Gayle’s double to ensure Fulham did not end the season with a whimper. But Magath was angry a similar attitude had been lacking since his arrival in February. “We never fought as a team that fights against relegation,” he said. “I asked my team what was going on and one player told me ‘we cannot fight’. I’ve never been at a club before where a player has told me that.”
