Maestro Ramsey keen to douse injury concerns
INFLUENTIAL Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has moved to deflate concerns the ankle injury he sustained on international duty will sideline him from the Gunners’ pivotal Premier League clash with Manchester City on Saturday.
The 23-year-old picked up a knock on the controversial artificial pitch at the Estadio Nacional as Wales began their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a 2-1 victory over minnows Andorra.
Ramsey has again proven a class act for Arsenal this season with two league goals already as well as the opening strike in their Community Shield victory over Saturday’s opponents at Wembley, and he expects to be in the mix for selection against the reigning Premier League champions come the weekend.
“I’ll be alright,” said Ramsey. “I rolled my ankle a bit. Hopefully it will be nothing and I’ll be available for Saturday, those are game you definitely want to play in.”
