London Report: UK data to show economic health
ECONOMIC figures for August, released this week, are likely to give a more accurate view of the growing strength of the UK economic recovery.
Manufacturing PMI numbers will be released today, followed by construction data tomorrow and services news on Wednesday.
The week also includes the Bank of England’s rate decision on Thursday and a raft of year-on-year trade reports for July, out on Friday.
The corporate calendar starts with reports from Biome Technologies, Michelmersh Brick Holdings and Berkeley Group Holdings today, followed up updates tomorrow from Dechra Pharmaceuticals, McBride, Goals Soccer Centres, Hydro International, Johnson Service Group, and Globaltrans Investment.
On Wednesday Hargreaves Lansdown, Kofax, Scotty Group, Abbey Protection, Smart Metering Systems, SQS Software Quality Systems, Staffline Group, Prezzo, Ashtead Group and Safestore Holdings all update the market.
Thursday’s reports come from CPL Resources, Go-Ahead Group, Monitise, Betfair Group, Dixons Retail and Spirit Pub Company.
Belgravium Technologies, EMIS Group and SThree are due to update the market on their recent performances on Friday.
