London property: Luxury development in Camberwell to open books tomorrow
It might have been relatively neglected in recent years, but south London village Camberwell is next on property developers' hit lists, with a new luxury development being launched this week.
Singaporean firm Frasers Property is opening the books for Camberwell on the Green tomorrow, with the sales launch being held at the Pakistan Room of the Kia Oval Cricket Ground, just down the road from the site. The sales agents is Marsh & Parsons
The development will comprise 92 studio, one, two and three bed apartments, ranging from £446,000 to £906,000, and overlooking Camberwell Green, which is in the middle of a huge regeneration programme.
Designed by award winning architects Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher, features includes bronze metal panelling, grey brickwork, balconies and rooftop terraces. The architecture has been designed to maximise garden views.
The new-builds will be within walking distance of Denmark Hill station. There will also be 14,370 sq ft of retail space on the ground floor.
Transport for London is currently consulting on whether to extend the Underground into southeast London, with a potential new Tube station in Camberwell.
