London commuters face transport delays due to 24-hour bus strike
Commuters in London are facing delays today due to a 24-hour bus strike.
Workers from Tower Transit, which operates around five per cent of London bus routes, began their strike at 00:01, and the industrial action is set to continue until 23:59. The staff are members of the Unite union, and previously led industrial action over the August bank holiday weekend.
"(The strike) will affect services during the day and night bus services operating all day Monday and into the early hours of Tuesday 13 September," said Transport for London (TfL). Tower Transit
Tower Transit operates 20 day bus routes and eight night bus routes in east, west and central London. According to TfL, all other bus services are unaffected.
The bus routes likely to be impacted by the strike are:

- 25 – Ilford to Oxford Circus
- 28 – Kensal Rise to Wandsworth
- 30 – Hackney Wick to Marble Arch
- 31 – Camden Town to White City
- 58 – East Ham to Walthamstow Central
- 69 – Walthamstow Central to Canning Town
- 70 – Chiswick Business Park to South Kensington
- 212 – Walthamstow St James Street to Chingford
- 236 – Finsbury Park to Hackney Wick
- 266 – Brent Cross to Hammersmith
- 308 – Wanstead to Clapton
- 328 – Golders Green to Chelsea
- 339 – Leytonstone to Shadwell
- 425 – Clapton to Stratford
- 444 – Turnpike Lane to Chingford
- 488 – Bromley-by-Bow to Dalston
- RV1 – Covent Garden to Tower Gateway
- W14 – Leyton to Woodford Bridge
