A London bus burst into flames in Kingston half-way through the morning commute
Two fire engines attended after a London bus burst into flames in the centre of Kingston – in the middle of the morning commute.
The London Fire Brigade said two fire crews had been called to a bus on fire on the high street just after 9am.
"A double decker bus is currently well alight," it said.
"The driver left the bus before the arrival of the Brigade and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews."
It added that the cause of the fire, which appeared to be in the bus' engine, was unknown.
Just after 10am Kingston Police tweeted that the fire was out, adding that no one had been hurt.
