London Bridge station closure: Here’s how commuters are coping
Today is the first day commuters faced the partial shutdown of London Bridge station which means quite a bit of disruption for anyone travelling through or near the area. Here's how day one went.
It was a little bit of a surprise for some people returning to work after the long weekend.

There may have been some important people left out of the loop.
Anyone manage to get their @SouthernRailUK ticket accepted on London bus/underground today, during #LondonBridge closure? Nope, me neither.

Surely everything must have gone to plan?
So the first working day of the closure of London Bridge went smoothly. Warning: this tweet may contain an element of sarcasm.

Victoria station is mental today. Thank God London Bridge is only out of action for a week.

Change is scary.
Why am I so nervous about getting the train to a different station? I just wanna go to London Bridge not Cannot Street :((()

It worked out well for some people however.
Brighton station is lovely and quiet, and my journey to Victoria is going to take only 50 mins. They should close London Bridge more often!

Currently journeying through parts of south east London I've never seen before in an attempt to make it to #londonbridge today! #notrains

While others thought it was the end of the world.
With london bridge closed this morning Victoria station put on reenactment of dawn of the dead. Fun times.

Relaxing trip to work today, sharing the train with the closed London Bridge station refugees. rail replacement buses too obvious a solution

That’s what the media might have been expecting anyway.

Verdict? It could have been much worse.
