Lloyds suspends senior FX trader
THE FOREIGN exchange benchmark probe reached Lloyds yesterday as the bank suspended a senior trader.
Martin Chantree has been with the state-backed bank since 2005 and has previously worked at HBOS, Societe Generale and Rabobank.
Other lenders including JP Morgan, Citi, Deutsche Bank and UBS have also been probed in the investigations, which are looking into allegations traders tried to manipulate key benchmarks.
Lloyds declined to comment.
