Tottenham injury blow as Hugo Lloris suffers broken wrist
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris looks likely to miss the start of the new Premier League season after returning to pre-season training with a fractured wrist.
France No1 Lloris, 28, faces a race against time to be fit for the club’s opening fixture of the campaign at Manchester United on 8 August. Former Swansea stopper Michel Vorm is their only fit senior keeper.
“Lloris will continue to work alongside the first-team squad to build up his fitness in a bid to be ready for the start of the season,” read a club statement.
“Our medical team will continue to monitor his rehabilitation and progress during pre-season.”
