Liverpool Street signal failure causing severe delays on London Overground, Stansted Express, Greater Anglia
If you've managed to dodge an alcohol-induced headache this morning, a transport-inspired one might be about to kick in instead.
A signal failure at Liverpool Street was this morning causing severe delays on the London Overground, Stansted Express and other mainline services.
On the London Overground, commuters travelling in from Hackney Downs faced major disruption while Transport for London fixed the problem. London Underground will accept tickets "via any reasonable route", TfL said.
There is a good service on the rest of the line.
Stansted Express trains were being forced to start from Stratford instead of Liverpool Street because of the failure.
The issue was also affecting Greater Anglia trains in and out of the station.
