Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp to miss Sunderland game at Anfield with suspected appendicitis
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be missing from the dugout this Saturday, after suffering from a suspected bout of appendicitis.
First team duties for the visit of Sunderland to Anfield on Saturday afternoon will be taken over by Klopp's assistants Zelkjo Buvac, Peter Krawietz, Pepijn Lijnders and John Achterberg.
Liverpool have been one of the most adversely affected teams by injuries this season and currently have eight players unavailable for selection – only Newcastle have more.
Klopp joins Joe Allen, Divock Origi, Philippe Coutinho, Martin Skrtel, Jordan Rossiter, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Joe Gomez in being unavailable for Saturday's Premier League fixture.
