Live in panorama atop The Heron
Surround yourself with a 360 degree view of the City of London – and walk to work – from one of the luxury penthouses and apartments in The Heron situated in the heart of the financial district
Living in the City is a strange experience. Your rubbish is collected by a corporation, it’s completely desolate at weekends, and your local supermarket is full of hurried people in suits.
But for those who want to live in the centre of the financial universe, within walking distance of London’s most famous landmarks and nestled in one of the most well-connected places in the capital, it’s a dream location.
Living in the Square Mile is almost like belonging to an exclusive club – only about 8,000 people currently call the area home.
In fact, so many people want to live in the City that almost all of the 285 of the one, two, and three bedroom apartments in the lower floors of The Heron, a 36-storey tower on Moor Lane, were snapped up before they were built.
Lisa Ronson, commercial director of Heron International, says: “The success of The Heron – where 92 per cent of the apartments were already sold before completion – highlights the level of demand for property in the Square Mile and the rarity of developments of this quality in this location.”
So why are you reading about apartments you can’t have? Because the finishing touches are just being applied to its luxury offerings sitting at the top of London’s skyline.
The spectacular views are all very well but, if the last fortnight of stormy downpours has taught us anything, it’s that the British weather can’t be trusted.
The Panoramic Collection, a series of flats on floors 31 to 34, hopes its floor-to-ceiling windows and some of the highest covered roof terraces in London will make it a unique buying prospect.
Inside, the apartments are fitted with bespoke parquet hardwood timber floors in the living area, book-matched marble floors in the entrance hall and Boffi kitchens with Gaggenau appliances.
But if you really want to live on top of the world, then two duplex penthouses spread across the 35th and 36th floors are on offer.
They are currently being fitted out but, like their lower counterparts, both boast triple-aspect views across London through a prism of floor-to-ceiling glass.
One of these will be a three bedroom, three bathroom apartment of around 4,000sqft while the other will spread four bedrooms and four bathrooms across 6,000sqft.
In fact, these penthouses are so vast they have rooftop courtyards instead of terraces that are protected from the elements by a retractable roof.
All Heronians will be part of a private members’ club with access to a lounge, gym, screening room, landscaped roof garden, valet parking, and a concierge service.
“As well as exceptional living space,” says Ronson, “buyers investing in prime residential developments have come to expect an increasingly high level of service.
“The Heron was designed to offer the very best in terms of quality, including an unparalleled service; therefore, we came up with the concept of creating an exclusive private club within the development, designed to give those living in The Heron additional space for business, entertainment and relaxation.”
The Guildhall School of Music and Drama will also be joining the development as a commercial tenant.
Apartments in The Panoramic Collection range from £3.6m to £5.25m. The duplex penthouses are priced on application.
