Leicester City v Manchester United betting tips: Foxes’ flimsy defence could offset Vardy prowess in front of goal
Who would have predicted that after 13 games, Leicester City against Manchester United would be a top-of-the-table clash?
Claudio Ranieri has done a fantastic job with the Foxes, and they lead the Premier League on merit.
After recording another convincing win against Newcastle in their last fixture, they will head into this fixture confident of scoring.
Even against a resolute United defence, I don’t see any reasons why that won’t happen.
Yet while the visitors have hardly been prolific in front of goal recently, Leicester’s defence isn’t watertight.
In the two meetings between the sides last season, there were 12 goals scored.
It was a modern classic when the teams met at the King Power Stadium last September.
Current man-of-the-moment Jamie Vardy rounded off the goals in a stunning 5-3 Leicester victory.
I don’t predict quite as many this time out, but I fully expect both teams to score.
With last season’s results fresh in my memory, I like Betway’s 7/10 on that prediction.
The attacking pair of Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have grabbed headlines so far this term. I expect them to play a key role again.
Sporting Index have a number of special markets around Vardy’s quest to score in a record-breaking 11th league game.
The 16-19 spread on the minute of the last Vardy goal may interest some punters, especially when you consider that 10 of Leicester’s last 11 league goals have come after the break.
However, I’ll instead be going for a safer option of buying total match goals at 2.75.
