Lancaster to overlook duo
ENGLAND coach Stuart Lancaster revealed centre Manu Tuilagi and wing Marland Yarde are unlikely to feature in Sunday’s Six Nations clash with Wales, despite adding the duo to his squad yesterday.
Tuilagi has not played for England for 12 months due to a pectoral injury, while Yarde has failed to add to his two Red Rose caps so far this year due to a hip problem.
The pair have been considered fit enough to join up with their international colleagues for training, but are unlikely to return at Twickenham this weekend.
Lancaster said: “They’d have to go some in the next couple of days, it’s fair to say. It’s a big ask for Manu to come back having had such a long period out. He hasn’t had any time with us in camp whatsoever.”
