Krispy Kreme UK sales on the rise
Doughnut maker Krispy Kreme saw UK sales of £33.4m over the past 12 months, it said yesterday. Like-for-like figures showed a same-store sales increase of 1.4 per cent. Revenue was up 12.6 per cent. The company said it plans to double its presence in the UK in the next five years. Over the past 12 months, Krispy Kreme has opened six new stores as well as 50 cabinets in Tesco. The company said it planned to open 10 new stores in the coming year and for the four years following. It served more than 5m customers and produced over 50m doughnuts over the year.
