Krispy Kreme raises outlook
US-listed doughnut chain Krispy Kreme last night raised its profit outlook after a 6.9 per cent rise in quarterly earnings. The firm has expanded its offering to include coffee and other snacks in recent years to propel growth in spite of a growing market for healthy snacks. Krispy Kreme posted a quarterly profit of $5m, up from $4.7m a year ago, on revenues that rose 8.5 per cent to $107.1m – both ahead of analyst expectations.
