JLL’s UK boss Guy Grainger takes top European job at property firm in management reshuffle
The UK boss of property services giant JLL Guy Grainger has been promoted to chief executive of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as part of a management reshuffle at the company.
Grainger, 48, who has headed up the UK business for three years, will succeed current EMEA chief Christian Ulbrich, who will become president of the New York-listed company.
Ulbrich will manage JLL’s regional businesses in Asia Pacific, EMEA and the Americas and focus on driving growth through acquisitions, the company said.
Colin Dyer will stay on as chief executive of the firm in charge of its global strategy while Chris Ireland, who is currently UK chairman, will take over Grainger's role as chief executive of the UK business.

Ireland and Grainger both joined JLL in 2011 after the company merged with King Sturge to create the UK's biggest commercial property agent. The company is acting on major London regeneration schemes such as Nine Elms and has made several acquisitions over the last two years to expand its presence in residential, including buying out the 140-year-old estate agency WA Ellis in 2014.
“Grainger is Colin’s and my clear choice to lead the [EMEA] region, building on the fresh thinking and dynamic leadership that he has brought to the UK business over the last three years,” said Ulbrich.
