Jaguar Land Rover boosts Tata
Jaguar Land Rover’s sales for the second quarter rose 4.9 per cent on last year to stand at 62,090 units, the carmaker said yesterday. This is thanks to a strong growth in Russia and China, along with better product and market mix. Revenues grew from £2.26bn in the second quarter last year to £2.7bn in this year’s second quarter, a 19.9 per cent growth. Parent company Tata Motors reported a growth of 24.1 per cent in the second quarter of the previous year, with revenues of around 335.72bn rupees (£4.5bn).
