It’s a real family affair during this week’s £300m FDM float
SOME say that, much like working with children and animals, one should avoid working with one’s other half. But this week’s float of IT services firm FDM has been a real-life example to the contrary.
Not only are the chief exec Rod Flavell and COO Sheila Flavell of FDM married, but two of the bankers advising them of their £300m listing are married, too.
Investec, FDM’s sole adviser, had Rowena Murray and her husband Andrew Pinder on the advisory team.
There must have been an unprecedentedly high level of pricing talk in the bedrooms…
■ ASIDE from us 3,000 mere mortals, there’ll be some celebrity faces running in Standard Chartered’s Great City Race on 10 July. Joining the previously ambassador athletes Paula Radcliffe, Noel Thatcher, Jack Roughan, Henry Wanyoike and his running guide Joseph Kibunja; the BBC’s Mike Bushell; and The Apprentice stars, Ian Stringer and Paul Callaghan (phew!) will be four Liverpool FC legends. lan Kennedy, John Aldridge, David Johnson and Phil Neal announced yesterday they’ll be pulling on their jogging shoes and taking a 5k run around the City, too. The place to be seen, it seems.
