Is this the most regal election ever? Exiled emperor Ankit Love is running in the London mayoral elections, and wants to ban cars from the capital
This really is the most regal election ever.
We've had donations from London socialites, Polish princes and a day on the campaign trail with Zac Goldsmith sell for £35,000. Now, even an exiled emperor is having a go at running in the London Mayoral Election, but instead of banning Nigel Farage, the heir wants to ban cars from the capital.
SUFFICE to say, there’s a lot of blue blood in the race for City Hall. Blue-eyed blonde-haired Tory hopeful Zac Goldsmith, who goes head to head against Labour candidate Sadiq Khan in City A.M.’s mayoral election debate tonight, is just one of the aristocrats hoping to win.
The latest royal name to come forward to the press is Ankit Love, who just last year reclaimed his title of Emperor of the little known princely state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Love, who founded his own party One Love in October, claims to be the rightful emperor to the Indian state and is just as keen as Prince Zylinski on ridding the city of hot air.
Love, a committed eco-warrior, wants to ban cars from London altogether.
A spokesperson for his excellency said Love is calling on British military personnel to “oust the failed regime and replace the Prime Minister with him as the senior Minister of the Crown, so he can dictate the needed legislation”.
Neither Prince Zylinski nor Emperor Love included a mini-manifesto when they registered for the election. Then again, that’s probably one for the staff.
