IAAF crisis: Qatar bids for 2017 and 2019 World Championships in Doha under scrutiny
The bidding for the 2017 and 2019 world athletics championships has been placed under the scrutiny of the IAAF's ethics commission, UK Athletics boss Ed Warner has revealed.
Speaking to a parliamentary select committee, Warner also called for Russia to be barred from competing at this year's Olympics and said British athletes will be asked to sign an agreement that will ban them from the sport for life if found doping.
London won the right to host the 2017 world championships, after beating competition from Doha in Qatar, which won the 2019 tournament.

Qatar's bidding for the tournaments is now officially under the IAAF ethics commission's microscope, following earlier allegations made against the process by Warner himself this year.
Warner said: " I have had a number of discussions with the IAAF and they have told me the 2017 and 2019 bids by Doha have been referred to their ethics commission."
Last month he claimed he had been warned by a senior IAAF official that Qatari representatives had given "a brown envelope" to "certain members of the IAAF Council".
Qatar has denied any wrongdoing.
Responding to questions on the doping scandal that has rocked the sport in recent months, Warner said that UK Athletics was currently talking to its lawyers about developing a contract for UK athletes to sign before they can be selected that acknowledges they can be banned for life from representing their country if ever caught doping.
He also suggested that Russia should not be let back into athletics before this summer's Olympics in Rio de Janeiro following the bombshell revelation in a World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) report of widespread "state-organised" doping in the country.
