I haven’t been that Dyer, says injury-hit Kieron
INJURY-PLAGUED Kieron Dyer has hit back at suggestions he has been a waste of money at West Ham and should consider early retirement.
Dyer, 31, has played just seven games for the Hammers in two-and-a-half years after breaking his leg shortly after his £6m move from Newcastle.
West Ham say that both he and Freddie Ljungberg have cost the club more than £1m a match, but Dyer insists he has given it his all to get fit.
“I probably had a worse leg break than Aaron Ramsay and have had four operations to try to get it right,” he said. “I have put in everything I can to get fit for this club but it is not enough for some people.”
