Hunger Games rakes in $157m to win global box office war
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 took $123m (£78.5m) in US ticket sales to top weekend box office charts and score the year’s biggest American opening. The film, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth raked in another $34m worldwide, including $12.8m in the UK.
