How deep will you dig on City Giving Day?
I doubt I’ll ever forget the sight of Lawson Muncaster, our MD and co-founder, abseiling down the Lloyd’s building earlier this month.
Nor will I forget the support given to him by the waiting crowd of City A.M. staffers, cheering him on from street-level.
It seems the Lord Mayor’s City Giving Day has harnessed support from every corner of the City and for Lawson, backing the campaign in our paper wasn't enough. He had to jump off a building, too.
City A.M. has been a proud supporter of this brilliant initiative from early on. Our chosen charity, Maggie’s, will be at the front of our minds as the Lord Mayor pops in for tea this afternoon as part of his tour of participating businesses, and I’d urge you all to dig deep today and demonstrate the philanthropy for which the City is so well known.
The money raised through the City A.M. and Maggie’s £1million campaign is all to raise money for Maggie’s Barts, a new Centre opening in the City at St Bartholomew’s Hospital to provide free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends.
