Hoddle in QPR coaching role
FORMER England boss Glenn Hoddle has targeted Premier League survival after agreeing to join Harry Redknapp’s coaching staff at top-flight newcomers QPR.
Hoddle, who has also led Tottenham, Southampton and Chelsea, has been out of management since quitting Wolves eight years ago but is eager to lend his expertise at Rangers, who begin the new campaign at home to Hull on Saturday.
“The first aim at QPR is to stay in the Premier League and I am looking forward to helping play my part as we try to achieve that,” said the 56-year-old former Spurs and Monaco midfielder. “I have always loved coaching, and I can’t wait to meet the players, get on the training pitch and get to work.”
